The routs of friendship
Spring is time when dreams come true. Maybe a group of students from Tauragė can't name the spring of 2004 a dream swhich came true. But it can be called at least funny and eventful time. The members of Tauragė Photo-videostudio 'Kadras'(it can be translated 'a shot' or 'a photoslip') went to Germany, Frankfurt am Main again. Students dream and long for travels like this all-year-round.
"Art surmounts the walls" is an international project, in which young photographers, operators and singers take part. Participants from Lithuania (Tauragė), Poland (Warsaw) and Germany (Frankfurt am Main) started communicating five years ago. There was an internet page (www.3national.com) created in spring.
Groups involving students from every country made short films. Creators had full freedom and herewith great trust - they created the scenario and made the cast, edited what was filmed and finally showed the film to other partners and guests.
A large group of photographers created a cycle 'Frankfurt am Main immigration problems'. They were observing routine life from the botanical gardens in blossom up to the industrial areas including a lot of railroads. Later they developed negatives, made photos, framed them and arranged the exhibition.
The project is continuing. A contact has turned into a nice friendship. This spring all the artists are expected to meet in Lithuania.
